This Privacy Notice explains how My Virtual Newton ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use The Micro Event Kit ("the Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Personal data we collect
- Account data — your name (if provided), email address and login credentials.
- Planner content — the answers, event details, budgets, tasks and notes you create in the Service.
- Support messages — anything you send us when asking for help.
- Usage data — basic telemetry such as pages viewed and device/IP information, used to keep the Service working and secure.
How we use your data
- Creating and securing your account, and providing the Service (contract performance);
- Processing purchases and maintaining your entitlements (contract performance);
- Product improvement and security/fraud prevention (legitimate interests);
- Customer support (contract performance);
- Marketing, only where you have opted in (consent).
Payment-related data is collected by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and is not stored by us.
Who we share data with
- Service providers who host the Service and its database, and provide analytics and support tooling;
- Paddle.com, as Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription and payment management, tax compliance and invoicing;
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary;
- Authorities where required by law.
Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support address provided at checkout. If you are in the UK or EEA, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority; we respond to requests within one month.
International transfers
Data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege database policies.
Cookies
The Service uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party marketing cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing out may result.
